该协会是于1988年以东京都医师合作社联合会及都内地区医师合作社联合会董事级的医生们为中心所成立的团体。此医学团体以分属于医疗从业人员生活合作社各专门领域的医师为中心,藉由相关学者及民间企业等的协助, 且以预防成人病(文明病)及确立健康社会为目标,透过免费的健康咨询、协助取得健康管理师资格、演讲活动等,积极推动「预防医学」。
